Overview

Certificate in Animal Welfare at QLS Level 3 – Broadly speaking, animal welfare refers to the way the animal deals with the conditions it lives in. Confirming that an animal is in a good welfare state requires empirical evidence that it is kept healthy, happy, well-nourished and safe, that it is capable of communicating natural behaviour ( e.g. free roaming) and that it does not suffer from discomfort, fear or distress. If you want to follow a career in the animal care industry, this is a perfectly suited course.

The course focuses on important topics such as addressing animal welfare needs, meeting the standards of animal health care and understanding wild animal welfare. Each module will be extensively discussed to give learners a complete understanding of the subject matter. The course was approved under the Quality Licence Scheme. This means we have undergone an external quality review to ensure that the company and the courses it provides meet specified quality standards.

This course has been endorsed by the Quality Licence Scheme for its high-quality, non-regulated provision and training programmes. This course is not regulated by Ofqual and is not an accredited qualification. We will be able to advise you on any further recognition, for example progression routes into further and/or higher education.
