Overview

Broadly speaking, animal welfare refers to the way the animal deals with the conditions it lives in. Confirming that an animal is in a good welfare state requires empirical evidence that it is kept healthy, happy, well-nourished and safe, that it is capable of communicating natural behaviour ( e.g. free roaming) and that it does not suffer from discomfort, fear or distress. If you want to follow a career in the animal care industry, this is a perfectly suited course.

The course focuses on important topics such as addressing animal welfare needs, meeting the standards of animal health care and understanding wild animal welfare. Each module will be extensively discussed to give learners a complete understanding of the subject matter. The course was approved under the ABC Awards.
