If you’ve completed the beginner course in British Sign Language, you can progress to British Sign Language – Intermediate. Whether you work or teach children or adults who are deaf or you want to learn BSL because of your own hearing problems, or you have a deep interest in sign language, this is a good place to start. The course will explore a series of topics through a training video teaching you how to use sign language appropriately, and in the right context. You will learn to express views and opinions on everyday conversations ranging from people to animals, travel and even feelings. The Level 2 course in British Sign Language will be useful to professionals who aspire to work with people in the D/deaf community.

The course will introduce the basic fundamentals of British sign language, and through this video training you will learn the grammar and vocabulary extensively. Additionally, you will learn sign language to express conversations on time, shopping, spending, travel, leisure activities and health.

At the completion of the course, students will be required to complete an assignment, which will need to be uploaded to the online learning portal. Once it has been submitted, the tutor will assess and mark it.

You need to pay £24 for assessment and certification fee when you submit the assignment.

Once you have successfully passed this assessment you are entitled to a printed certificate.

Successful learners will be awarded a Certificate of completion in British Sign Language – Level 2.
