This fantastic Special Effects Makeup course has been created by a makeup artist with years of experience working on well-known television programmes such as Hollyoaks, so you’ll be in good hands. You’ll develop the skills needed to pursue a career in the special effects makeup industry, and will practice creating amazing looks for film and TV. This is a beginner level course, so if you have no experience this will be the perfect introduction.The SFX Makeup Beginner course will walk you through the steps of special effects makeup application process. If you’ve always wanted to become a special effects makeup artist, this course is a great place to start. The course will introduce a number of techniques from basic special makeup effects like balding caps or creating scars. Once you qualify in this course, you will gain a recognised qualification that will give your CV a boost and the opportunity to progress quickly up the ladder.

From the day you purchase the course, you will have unlimited access to the online study platform. As the course is self-paced you can decide how fast or slow the training goes, and are able to complete the course in stages, revisiting the training at any time.
At the end of each module, you will have one assignment to be submitted (you need a mark of 65% to pass) and you can submit the assignment at any time. You will only need to pay £19 for assessment and certification when you submit the assignment. You will receive the results within 72 hours of submittal, and will be sent a certificate in 7-14 days if you have successfully passed the course.
Successful candidates will be awarded certificate in SFX Makeup Beginners.
Learners must be age 16 or over and should have a basic understanding of the English Language, numeracy, literacy, and ICT.

On average the starting salary is £20,000, and this increases with experience.

Enjoyed the course, I’m not a beginner and have experience in SFX makeup. I did this course along with the advanced course as a bit of a refresher and id recommend it for someone who’s starting out in SFX (start with this to learn some basics and if you like sfx, then move on to the advanced).
