Microsoft Excel is a popular application that is used for management of data. Microsoft Excel is a part of Microsoft Office and considered to be the most versatile of the applications. Excel 2007 is a newer and modified version which has more advanced features and functions. The course will explore key topics such as entering and managing data, formatting techniques, formula basics, creating reports and distributing your work. This application will make you efficient in your day to day work, whether you are employed in administration or accounting.

From the day you purchase the course, you will have 12 months access to the online study platform. As the course is self-paced you can decide how fast or slow the training goes, and are able to complete the course in stages, revisiting the training at any time.

At the end of the course, you will have one assignment to be submitted (you need a mark of 65% to pass) and you can submit the assignment at any time. You will only need to pay £19 for assessment and certification when you submit the assignment. You will receive the results within 72 hours of submittal, and will be sent a certificate in 7-14 days if you have successfully passed the course.

Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate in Excel 2007: Essentials.

Learners must be age 16 or over and should have a basic understanding of the English Language, numeracy, literacy, and ICT.

Michael Alexander is a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) with over 14 years’ experience consulting and developing office solutions.  Michael started his career in consulting and development at the White House Communications Agency in Washington DC where he spearheaded the development of a standalone HRIS system for the White House’s Military Office. He parleyed his experience with VBA and VB into a successful consulting practice in the private sector, developing middleware and reporting solutions for a wide variety of industries.

He currently lives in Frisco, TX where he serves as a Senior Program Manager for a top technology firm.  Michael is the author of several books on Microsoft Access and Excel, and is the principle behind DataPig Technologies where he shares basic Access and Excel tips to the Office community.
