There are no formal prerequisites for the PRINCE2® Foundation exam. It is open to individuals with any level of project management experience. For the Practitioner exam, however, learners must pass the PRINCE2® Foundation exam.
The Foundation exam consists of multiple-choice questions designed to assess your understanding of PRINCE2® principles, processes, themes, and terminology. The Practitioner exam consists of objective testing questions (OTQs) and is designed to assess your ability to apply PRINCE2® principles to complex project scenarios.
The pass mark for the PRINCE2® Foundation exam is 55% (i.e., you need to answer at least 33 out of 60 questions correctly). For the Practitioner exam, it is usually 55% as well.
PRINCE2® certification is valid for 3 years.
PRINCE2® exams can be taken either online or at a physical test center.
