The Professional Relationships at QLS Level 3 Certificate in Teaching Assistant course aims to educate teaching assistants on how to establish professional relationships with children, young people, parents and other colleagues in a school setting. Although professional relationships are common to all forms of employment, it is more important for a teaching or teaching assistant career so that information related to the children’s progress and issues can be conveyed back and forth between teachers and parents. This course will talk more about this through its very elaborate modules and will also train you extensively for a successful teaching assistant career.
The course will first off teach you how to establish rapport, respectful and trusting relationships with children and young children. Children are always full of ideas, opinions and questions and you as a teaching assistant should know how to support and respond to them appropriately. This course will show you just how, in addition to guidelines on using different forms of communication to meet different needs of children and young people.
The tutors have also done an impressive job in addressing the strategies that can be implemented to encourage children and young people to respect each other. You will also come across chapters that will discuss about data protection, confidentiality and information sharing to further improve your eligibility in the job market.
