This Child and Young Individual Development – Level 3 Certificate in Teaching Assistant has been specifically designed by industry experts to help you encourage and support child and young people’s development in a school setting. Catering specifically to aspiring or professional teaching assistants, this course will combine theories with examples to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful teaching assistant career, provided you have the passion and tolerance to work with children.

This course is bound with modules that will look into various crucial topics such as the development from birth to 19 years of age, sequence of development, rate of development, theories of development and frameworks that support development. You will also come to realise that the course has given due focus to keep you updated on how to monitor children and young people’s development using different methods and techniques.

This course takes on an easy to understand approach to learning and will extensively educate you on why certain children or young people may not follow the expected developmental patterns. This course is also a guide on its own as you will learn the activities and methods used to support the development of speech, language and communication in children.

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course.  The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.

  • The course will develop the competence and knowledge of learning support staff like teaching assistants, learning support assistants and childcare workers. They can contribute to learning activities while working alongside a classroom teacher.
  • Learners must be over the age of 19 and have a basic understanding of Maths, English and ICT.
  • A recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in any discipline.

This online course is assignment-based with learners being assessed upon the submission of a series of assignments. Once you successfully submit the assignments, students will gain a professional qualification. The assignments must be submitted to the instructor through the online learning portal. The assignments will be reviewed and evaluated, with feedback provided to the student on how well they have fared.

Please Note: Additionally, a total of £69 is charged for the assessment and certificate, and you need to pay that when submitting your assessments only (It is not required to pay initially upon registering). This payment can be made in 02 installments.
