Hazard communication refers to a set of procedures and processes that has to be implemented by employers and importers in the workplace to effectively communicate hazards related to chemical handling, shipping or exposure. Hazard communication can be conveyed through regulations, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or labels to warn the intended party regarding imminent chemical hazards and to guide them on taking appropriate measures. The effectiveness of an organisation in communicating hazards will determine the safety of employees and hence, it has become incumbent upon each and every organization in the modern world.

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course.  The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.

This course is most suitable for individuals regularly working with, handling or is exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace. HR, managerial and industrial professionals might greatly profit from this program, however, general employees might also find it worth the time and effort.

  • Learners should be age 19 or over, and must have a basic understanding of Maths, English, and ICT.

This online course is assignment-based with learners being assessed upon the submission of a series of assignments. Once you successfully submit the assignments, students will gain a professional qualification. The assignments must be submitted to the instructor through the online learning portal. The assignments will be reviewed and evaluated, with feedback provided to the student on how well they have fared.

Those who successfully complete the course will be issued the Diploma in Hazard Communication at QLS Level 3 by the Quality Licence Scheme.
