The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is a 580 TQT, 58-credit and 399-guided-learning-hour (GLH) qualification that consists of 9 mandatory units (28 credits) and from optional units (30 credits) to achieve a total of 58 credits.

To pass this course the learner must regularly submit assignments. The purpose of assessment is to ensure that effective learning has taken place to give learners the opportunity to:

  • Meet the standard determined by the assessment criteria
  • Achieve the learning outcomes

All units within these qualifications are internally assessed. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes. Learners can take 12-18months to complete this course.

  • Unit 3: Promote personal development in care settings
  • Unit 4: Promote person-centered approaches in care settings
  • Unit 5: Promote equality and inclusion in care settings

  • Unit 8: Duty of care in care settings
  • Unit 9: Safeguarding and protection in care settings

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course.  The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at anytime.

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded with a NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.

The course is suitable for individuals working in the healthcare sector, and adult care worker roles in both health and social settings.

  • Learners must be over the age of 16, but there are no formal pre-requisite entry requirements.
  • It is recommended that learners are working or volunteering in order to display competence in skills and knowledge.

The primary objective of the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is to help learners acquire the skills and competence and apply this knowledge in an array of roles in the health and social care setting. Upon completion, learners can progress to Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care or level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care, if they wish to further they education in this field. Learners will have the opportunity to find employment in residential and nursing homes and in clinical health care. It is a specialist course reflecting the context of your work. The qualification will put you in line to work in the following positions,
