Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tag management system, which is a web-based tool with a user-friendly interface that makes working with tags easier. GTM allows you to create, edit, and disable tags without touching the source code. Tag Manager helps to optimise tag deployment, reduce tag configuration errors and allows you to modify and deploy tags on your site instantly from a web-based interface.

Examples of common tags within Google Tag Manager are: Google analytics universal tracking code or GA4 tracking code, AdWords Remarketing code and AdWords Conversion Tracking code.
